‘Welcome to the Future’ is a project that aims to create an immersive storytelling experience presenting artificial intelligence in a positive light, incorporating light humor and irony to highlight its numerous benefits and potential risks.

Users will embark on a 10-minute journey exploring various AI concepts, participating in small tasks, and enjoying a few clever, AI-generated jokes that encapsulate the essence of generative AI.

Visual Language

I began this project by conducting comprehensive research on AI, exploring its history, functionality, and current dominance in the market. Many speculate about its potential to replace jobs across various fields. During this exploration, I observed people online using AI for diverse creative endeavors such as creating music, developing AI chatbots for data visualizations, editing photos, and writing scripts for short films — showcasing a significant amount of creative work empowered by AI.

After careful consideration, I conceived the idea of creating a storytelling website that humorously narrates the evolution of AI, incorporating various interactive elements. Recognizing the importance of enhancing the app's aesthetics, I dedicated a significant portion of my research to finding a visual style that complements the theme. After extensive exploration, I opted to move forward with a brutalist style, incorporating vibrant colors and visually captivating elements to infuse a sense of playfulness.

Screens from the App

To show how the narrative would take place, I felt making in an interactive, story-driven app would be helpful as it could host a variety of questions and could run smoothly on mobile devices. That’s why I decided to develop the first build of the app on Figma, which could be accessed from here —
